Becoming a volunteer is a unique opportunity to get involved with a long-established and well-respected organization and make a difference in helping to preserve Minnehaha Counties’ historic resources. Society volunteers have the opportunity to learn about the history and architecture of Minnehaha County, gain skills in working with people of all ages and backgrounds, and join a motivated and dedicated group of volunteers.
Volunteers enjoy appreciation events, behind-the-scenes tours, and enrichment and continuing education opportunities. Diverse options are available to qualified applicants wishing to give their time to the Historical Society.
We are now accepting new volunteer applications for several areas. If you have questions about the Historical Society’s volunteer program, or would like to discuss our volunteer opportunities, email Jill Roozenboom.
The Society relies heavily on the support of its volunteers, who are essential to the success of both educational programs and advocacy efforts.
